I am not sure if this is the right location for this subject but...

I need some guidance on lead pipes for bass trombone. I prefer something on the smaller side as opposed to the more popular wide free blowing ones that are so common today. I played a Getzen 1052R and liked the middle or smallest ones that came with the horn. I will soon be playing a Yamaha 613G which may be fine but just in case I thought I'd reach out asking for some input.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

PhillyG

The Yamaha does not have removable leadpipes.

Have you played the horn yet? How did it feel? Do you really think it needs changing? Is it yours to alter?

Most Yamaha horns I've encountered have 2 piece leadpipes.

I like the Bach stock leadpipes. They work great with every bass I've owned (though I've played nothing but Conns).
