Brassbanned.com will live stream three brass band contests for free:

I don't know the level of brassbanding in Australia and New Zealand, but if you like brass band and don't have the possibility to assist to the special ambiente of a contest, this is the next best thing you can do :-)

There is quite a strong Brass Banding movement in Australia and New Zealand. In fact, the New Zealand championships were covered about a month ago. Too bad the time zones make watching from here in the US so difficult (probably equally bad in Europe).

It would really be nice if it were possible to "delay broadcast" so we folks on the opposite end of the world could watch conveniently but there appear to be some issues with copyrights of the pieces that won't let Tim do it.

I just wonder how Tim is going to manage to be in three places at once.

You can also watch last years swiss brass band championship on

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.swissbrass.ch/03-wettbewerb/ ... hstklasse/">http://www.swissbrass.ch/03-wettbewerb/videos/videos-hochstklasse/</LINK_TEXT>

This is the highest section, but you can hear the lower sections by clicking on

"Wettbewerb-Concours" and then "Videos".

Valaisia won that competition and subsequently won the british open championship and became european champion in 2018. So you know you are listening to great banding.
