I have a nice Conn 90G "trombonium"-type compactly wrapped valve trombone for sale. Elkhart era horn. Large-bore valve trombone with 88H bell! Takes a large shank mouthpiece. Good playable shape with original case.

$680 shipped

I see that I have to make two posts in order to send a PM. That being said, I am still very much interested. I have been searching for a 90G for the better part of a decade now, but I always seem to be a day late to the party, or the sellers want something obscene for them, like the last dozen 90Gs I've seen on eBay, all from the same seller who treats them as rarified antiquities. For what he wants, I could fabricate my own!

You should PM me before you are late for this party, too! :D I have had lots of interest but commitments yet. I raised the price because, as you know from experience, I was seriously underselling the horn. It is still a bargain. My plan is to raise the price every few days...

I've got another one in the works, but it's going to take some time. I have a full-compensating valve section and an Elkhart 88H bell. Waiting for more parts to turn up.

Contrabeast--Greenbean's horn is a bargain at the second price. I have one, and a friend of mine took it to Tuba Xmas and has been trying to pry it out of my possession ever since. You should snap it up!!

I have talked with the seller. We are at two different places. So I'll just keep looking. I've spent 13 years looking for one, another 13 years isn't that far off. They show up, but everyone wants a ridiculous price. It's not that important to me. Maybe I can sell some of my junk on here for a ridiculous price too. I won't sell at a loss, I'd rather just leave the horns I have at home taking up floor space.

Tom,

I hope you received a decent price for the Conn 90G. $750 seemed VERY fair to me - not at all greedy or unreasonable.

Heck $750 for an Elkhart bell alone isn't that unreasonable.

I sold it for $935. This is not at all a "ridiculous" price. They typically sell for $1000 to $1400. That is what the market says they are worth. I have no control over the market.

There's no such thing as a ridiculous selling price. You can have a ridiculous asking price, but if a product sells for a particular price, that price was clearly not ridiculous.
