I have a really nice vintage 1946 Conn 4H trombone for sale or trade. Original condition, cosmetically very good. .484" bore "jazz" horn. Only one dent on it - on the hand slide crook - which doesn't affect play. Other than that, there's some lacquer wear, a bit of scratching, and very minor dings here and there. The hand slide is smooth and fast despite two small spots of wear-through on the stockings. Non-original Conn counterweight.
It plays. Lots of color in the tone, can play mellow or bright, and has a sweet high register. A great horn for many situations. I've used it in big band, brass quintet, ragtime ensemble, and solo recital settings and have been very happy with the result.
This is a fine professional trombone, ready to gig. Suitable for the advanced/advancing student, too.
Comes with the original case, but no mouthpiece is included.
Selling for $650 plus shipping.
I am also interested in trading, and I have another horn - a 1975 King 4BF in great condition - to add to the trade. I'm looking for one of the following horns in excellent condition:
King 3BF, Bach 36B or G, Conn 8H, Conn 88H, King 3BF+, Benge 175F
Please let me know.
