It wasn‘t free but I saw an advert recently where you get get a discount (100€ I think) if you played a short concert on the instrument in question to the previous owner, who apparently never really got to grips with it. The other condition to receive the discount was to partake in coffee and cake with the previous owner.

Possibly, if I remember right the advert was put up by someone on behalf of their partner. That opens up the possibility of many types of hidden agenda...
