HUGE signatures

Just noticed Chip's signature (attached). If people have signatures it'll take a month to scroll through any content longer than two posts long! Any suggestions? I'm thinking we should disable linking to external sources in signatures --- thoughts?

I'm OK with that idea. Maybe send a message to Chip first. A couple of links might be OK.

Hyperlinks are okay (case-by-case) but yes, that's absurd. Plus, I wonder if he realizes that it is obnoxious.

Probably not. It looks like what happened is he put is soundcloud link in his signature but one of our extensions auto-embeds it. It can be averted by putting the signature in URL tags. It can also probably be blocked for signatures but it looks like that extension needs to be updated so maybe I can update it, see if it solves the issue, and then if not go from there.
