Another one I'm considering putting on Ebay. Speak now, or enter the bidding war.

This one is cosmetically challenged. It was a deluxe model in its day, with silver plating and gold wash as well as gold plating over the engraving. I knew I'd never get it back to stock condition, so I decided to update it with some more modern features.

Original parts include all valves and valve hardware. Valves and top caps are engraved with the horn's serial number.

It has a new leadpipe with a more gradual taper than original, giving it a beefier sound, and allowing for the use of a large shank mouthpiece. The valves were very leaky, so I had them built up with nickel and then honed down to perfect cylinders. Valve casings were honed to fit the pistons. I kept them tight, and they're still wearing in so they will need frequent cleaning. The fit is so precise that they are picky about valve oil. Hetman #2 is too thick, but UltraPure makes them work smoothly. All slide pull, with a nice "pop."

The original small bell was lost, so I had an H.N. White Altonium bell silver plated and fitted it to the horn. It has the right tenon size, but is taller than the original, with a shallower forward extension. The two sections play well in tune with one another.

Silver plating is missing on most of the horn. The smaller bell branch has had a lot of work done on it, and is pretty good now, but it has scuffs and dings. The braces are all attached solidly. I've waxed it, and it should stay at this level of patina for years to come.

I don't have a case or a mouthpiece that I'm willing to give up. I'll pack it well and insure it for its entire value.
