A lot of weird-looking trombones there.

All the admonitions we get in art classes to collect good reference material before drawing something seem to have gone unheeded. :idk:

I'll add what may be the earliest trombone in a Disney cartoon...

[url=https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6j8a86]Alice's Wonderland (1923) was Disney's demonstration/pilot for his "Alice" series , predating Oswald the Rabbit, predating Mickey (the) Mouse.

Beginning about 5:10 you can see glimpses of a trombone-playing cat(?) in the band welcoming Alice to Wonderland.

The opening live-action scenes appear to show a substantial crew behind the effort but, in fact, Walt Disney did almost all the animation himself. Quite a feat!

Walt Disney also devised the process for combining the live action girl into the animated world.

This is great. Kind of a big gap from 1961 to 2000! I can’t think of any to fill in there. Just noticed the gap.
