I have trouble when they ask for bassoon fingerings.

In the words of John Mulaney, “how much of your day to you spend trying to convince a robot that you are not a robot.”

'Decrescendo' - I don't know that one. Do you get them in trombone music? :idk:

I've never seen one, not sure how you would do that.

In some of the bands I (used to, before the world went sideways) play in, I can pretty much disregard ALL dynamic markings. The only dynamic is "play so the conductor cannot hear you". We get the hand during rests.

Hah, I played in an orchestra where the conductor somewhat frequently confused us for the french horns somehow. I remember one rehearsal where they were doing a movement where we weren't on so we went to do a sectional (ergo were in a different building for that hour). Apparently, the conductor stopped the orchestra and started flipping through the score and, with his head down, started something to the effect of, "Trombones, you really must be more subtle in measure blah blah blah...." 10 seconds later looks up and realizes that we're not there.
