Schilke Reichenbach comparisons

Has anyone had some decent face time with a Schilke Reichenbach?

I’m curious as to how the rim size compares to other standard pieces (Laskey 85MD, Hammond 20BL etc)

Currently playing a Greg Black 1 3/8g which is a teensy bit smaller all round than the afore-mentioned pieces.

I believe that Fridge here on The Chat played or plays one. Look him up.

It is a large 1 1/2G. Like a Greg Black 1 1/2G or 1 3/8. In between those. It is a killer mouthpiece but on the smaller side.

It's in the same ball park as a Brass Ark Mr.Bass

It's a great mouthpiece but I don't use it on bass trombone. I do keep it plugged into my euphonium.

Interesting. Here's what you said in a different thread:
I have a Reichenbach. Definitely 1 and 1/4 size.
I'd put it closer to a Schilke 59 to be honest. An oversize 1 1/2G it's not. Sounds on the bright side in the bass. Nothing like the Roberts SO that it's supposed to be copied from. It will be the right mouthpiece for someone.

It’s more like the description that Chris said. A very nice piece. Records like mad. In this past year of being at home, I did 18 sessions at home. Used it on every one. My Shires is set up like a 62H. Thin red, unsoldered bell, regular weight slide, and a #1 pipe. The sound would bloom on a mic.

There you go....works for Fridge. A quality piece for the right player.
