Looking for some more ergonomic hand holds for my Reynolds Contempora. It’s the bass model with dependent valves it's a hefty horn, and my hand starts to cramp after using it for only a short period. I'm using a yamaha strap right now, but I'm also looking at other options. Thanks in advance!

Which Reynolds Contempora? There were several models / sizes with that name.

Apologies, it’s the bass model with dependent valves.

I use a neotech grip on a XO 1240 bass. It works for me. I also use it on a 88H. It places the weight on the back of your hand but It feels secure since it’s a strap.

The standard horn was dependent...has yours been modded?

I have a King 7B independent bass. I started with a Neotech, which helped my wrist/forearm pain a lot, but I am used to having my thumb over the bell brace like on a tenor so got an Axe Hammer. I would be happy to make you a deal on the Neotech - send me a PM.

Fixed, it’s dependent, thanks for the notice!
