Hi all, I think I got a really good deal on this used trombone. I'm trying to do some research into where and when it was made but am coming up empty. Serial is 104363. Bell shows CG Conn 88H USA. Any thoughts? Also, any pics of the trigger in working condition? Pics attached.

The number you show is not the serial number. Conn serial numbers should be at least 6 digits and/or a combination of up to 8 letters and digits. The model number should be near the serial number.

It looks newer than 2000. Definitely after Elkhart and after Abilene. Maybe somebody else can suss out the engraving.

As to what's wrong, it appears you are missing a screw on the stop arm to allow you to attach a string to the rotor. It strings up like a French Horn. If you don't know what I mean, take it to a competent Tech (i.e. not the Gee-Tar Doktor at the local Gee-Tar Barn).

Serial is 104363. Bell engraving is CG Conn 88H US. Adding 50 to this prefix doesn't make sense, so I'm confused about the year. The trigger paddle and rotor both have threaded holes, so am I missing a linkage instead of string screws?

Looks like Gen 2 88HYO, made in Eastlake, Ohio. Minibal linkage.

Maybe the bell brace if it's nowhere on the bell/receiver.
