Hi All,
I'm looking to sell my Shires setup. It is a great horn with lots of different options! Very versatile horn with and the dual bore valve is fantastic. Great low register and this horn really sings! Usual wear and tear from an instrument that was used regularly. Love to keep this but I've got another tenor and the wife has her eye on a new double bass!
Individual Part Pricing
7YLW: $850 + shipping
7GLW T8 TII: $950 + shipping SOLD
Tuning Slide: $300 + shipping
Dual Bore Valve: $1450 + shipping SOLD
Neckpipe: $330 + shipping
TW47: $900 + shipping
7YLW Bell - Great bell! There is a faint line from shipping (about 2 inches). Minor acid bleed around the rim. Very even playing bell. There's a reason this is a popular bell!
TII 7GLW T8 Bell - This is a special sounding bell. Very colourful and the blow is great. It has an "orchestral" taper and it can play pretty big. Very fun bell to play on. Plays wonderfully with the straight pipe.
Yellow Tuning Slide - TSA put a dent in this one a couple years ago. The dent was taken out wonderfully and works as it should. Lacquer wear and usual wear on it.
Dual Bore Valve - This was my favourite valve out of all the options I tried when buying this horn! The little brace needed resoldering so the lacquer is gone there. A wear on the tuning slide. Valve is quick, smooth, and plays great. This valve plays with a great low register.
Straight Neckpipe - Comes with a leather guard. Raw brass under the leather guard.
TW47 Slide - Standard slide. Has some lacquer wear. Slide is smooth. Has a 3N leadpipe in it at the moment. I believe I have a 1 and 2 hiding in a drawer somewhere.
