Hello,
Currently I am holding on to the other half of my previous tenor trombone. This would be the bell section of my , a standard Bach 42 Stradivarius.
I am going to be blunt, it is not in the best looking condition. Lacquer is about 70% on the bell section, however the lacquer on the valve section still holds its integrity. I have not played on this horn in about 3 years and after taking it out of the case yesterday I noticed a buzzing sound coming from the rotor when it is engaged. This should be an easy fix for any instrument repair shop but frankly, I'm just trying to upgrade my horn situation. The main tuning slide also does not quite line up as you will see in pictures.
This horn got me through my high school days and into honor bands as well as college so I have no doubt in its ability to produce adequate performance standards. I hope someone will be able to get as much use out of it as I have.
Understanding that the valve needs to be fixed and main tuning slide possibly aligned, I am willing to sell the bell section for around $300.
