Hi, I'm looking for a counterweight that will fit a 42 (36/42/50 use the same I believe)

Thanks!

All Bachs use the same size. So even student models have one that will fit.

Plenty on eBay. If you get a cheap one without screws, they're 10-32 x 1/2"

Also consider using different weights. I have a variety of counterbalance weights for my Bachs, Conns, Edwards and Yamahas. Each plays very different. More weight equals more core and projection. Less weight equals quicker response and more flexibility. Of course the quickest response would be without the counterweight.

I am very open to non bach weights...I would actually like to have something a bit heavier than the bach weight. I

was tempted by the shires weight here on TC, but it is in Germany.

I've been told that the older small bore weights (student, strad 6,12,...) will not fit on 36/42/50, so I was a little nervous ordering from ebay and not knowing if it would fit or not. If the truth is that they all fit, then that may be the easiest option.
