Per Olds afficionado, JohnL (source of tons of information on Olds):
...professional-grade instrument (one notch below the Super)

So among the Olds of the 1940s would it be:
Special
Standard
Super
Recording
Etc?

The Standard was above the Special.
http://rouses.net/trumpet/olds1947/olds1947_4.htm
Note the pricing; the Super is $240, the Standard $215, and the Special $165. Neither the Recording nor the Ambassador had been introduced yet.
Olds first used the "Standard" name for their original TIS design when they introduced their new "Self-Balancing" (i.e., bell tuning) model in the late 1920's. Eventually the Self-Balancing became the Standard Self-Balancing, and finally just the Standard. The Standard seems to have been dropped from the line around the same time as the Studio was introduced, and the Studio occupied the same spot in the Olds hierarchy (above the Special and below the Super).

Thanks, John!
I cleaned up the image a bit and added "The Bear" logo.
Makes it look like a complete page that way.
