For sale is a an Edwards 454E bass trombone. I purchased this instrument at the factory in 2015 and it is in very good condition. It has a red brass bell with a soldered rim, gold brass dual radius tuning slide, in-line Thayer valves, and a dual bore hand slide with nickel over-sleeves.
Comes with B1, B2, and B3 lead pipes. It is a very nice playing instrument with the fast response and is even throughout all registers.
It does have a couple of custom features:
It comes with two tuning slides for the 2nd valve, one flat G "Bollinger" and the other G flat.
The hand slide has an extra-wide yellow brass Greenhoe slide crook.
The gold brass dual radius tuning slide was custom-made for me with a small brace, similar to the small brace single radius tuning slides used on the Edwards B502 Bass Trombone.
There are two small dents in the F attachment tuning slide, some finish wear on the bell where I hold the instrument when I assemble it, and finish wear on the hand slide.
$3,500 plus shipping
