Looking for a slide lock for a late-60's Conn 50H Director, the .525 bore intermediate with f-attachment. Apparently they are no longer available. Might anyone have one sitting in a stash of parts? The one I am looking to replace has stripped threads.

Have you checked with your local technician for this part? It is still listed in the current Allied catalog. I had a few 50H models come through my shop about 3 years ago and a couple of them were missing slide lock rings. I'm pretty sure I got the replacement lock rings from Allied.

However, Allied is known to letting parts from older models become extinct. Maybe they sold their final 50H lock rings in the last couple of years.

Thanks, Brian. I did check with Dillon's, even taking the horn with me so it wouldn't be confused with the newer 50H (Re-badged Benge?) or the various beginner Director models. They ordered the part, but it did not fit and they said the correct part was no longer available. (I went to pick it up, they took the horn in the back room so I was not able to see but told me it didn't fit) It may be worth pursuing again, though.

Do you have a suggestion on how they can specify the part #, since the various Conns - same name or # but different models, does invite some confusion?
