Bach LT16M Counterweight

Good evening! Or morning, wherever you may be.
I am on the hunt for a counterweight for my Bach 16. It wasn't provided with one due to the lightweight slide, however I have always preferred the extra weight. Online, all I can find are Bach counterweights for the larger models, 36, 42, etc. They only fit the dimensions for their tubing, not the 16. Does anybody know where I could get ahold of one or have one made? Thanks!

It may be worth the trouble of giving the Brasslab a shout to see if they have anything left or could turn one out. Here’s a link, but I’m not sure if there’s a better way to be in touch with them now.

I have a Corporation LT16M and a Bach counterweight fits perfectly.
To the best of my knowledge Bach only makes the one weight for their Stradivarius models. I double checked on their parts website and took a screenshot of what models the weight fits.
Also, Bach uses the same tuning slide assembly for all model 12 and 16 trombones. So even though you do not see your model listed specifically (LT16M) it should work just fine should you decide to go the manufacturer route.

Thanks, doesn't the Hickeys description specifically say "will not fit smaller horns"?

I would call Hornguys to see if they have the right one. They know what's what.

Try the Shires 3 piece... I have it on a Bach model 8 and it fits perfectly. The stock Bach weight won't clamp on flat between the tuning slide ferrules.
I've had a 16M before and the stock Bach weight didn't fit that horn either.
Brasslab is a great shout for a custom fit. Chuck will make any size and weight you need.
Hamo.

Just incase you didn't get one, I discovered this morning that I have a small bore Bach bell section sitting in my closet. I have no idea when I got it. I think its a TB200. In either case, I have a counterweight on it so it should fit small bore bachs. PM if you're interested. Would give a good rate.

I went a similar route to Matt's with a Mt Vernon Mercury model. The Bach student horn counterweights fit the pro tenors, and look good on them.
