I bought this marching trombone from someone on the old forum several years ago and overpaid. Cosmetically, it's kind of a nightmare. It looks like it's been experimented on by shoddy repair techs over the years. There's solder in places there shouldn't be. The bell looks okay from afar, but look up close and you can see some faint wrinkles--good from afar, but far from good. Someone has soldered extra brass along the top neck pipe, maybe for protection from middle school kids in the 70s laying it on the concrete. The serial number puts it in the late 70s.

So what's good about it? Well, despite the substantial wear on the valves, the valves are awesome and it plays great. No magic tricks needed to get the valves responsive. The only time they've been sticky is when I've over-lubricated by accident. I put new felt pads and springs in a few years ago and have just used Hetman's Piston Lubricant 2, and they move great. I included a video in the link.

Anyway, asking $200 plus shipping. I'm including the old, beat up, Protec case I got with it. If you want a beater marching trombone/flugelbone that plays great for fun or to restore, this is the one. Be sure to zoom in on the pics so you can see what you're getting yourself into

This should sell quickly. Especially with all the flugabone repairs going on right now.

Good luck with your sale. It looks to be in better shape than mine.
