I’m almost certainly going to buy a DE setup once Doug is back up and running but for now I’m just putting feelers for other smaller pieces ~28mm. If anyone is looking to get rid of one of the following or something close please let me know!

Schilke Reichenbach

Warburton 1 1/4 JW

Pickett 1.6/1.75

GB 1 3/8

Monette 2

You might want to check our MST STUDIO R2 N.

Closest comparison out of your list is probably the Schilke Reichenbach.

It's a nice sounding bass mouthpiece with very easy/quick response and great overall range.

Actually I was looking at your site last night. Are they stocked to try out anywhere in the US? I’m not 100% sold based on the specs but you never know right.

I have a Marcinkiewicz Ernie Tack; feels on the small side to me. Zippier than a DE but oh that comfy rim. Great condition. Can be Yours, ships for $80.

I might have some Elliott parts floating around I’m not using. I think I have an older LB “I” cup and one of the older shanks for example.m

Also have a GB 2GM but that’s much smaller than then 1 3/8 of course.

That’s about a 58/1.5 size right? Probably a little smaller than I’m looking for. I’m really looking to thread the needle between a 1 1/2 and a 1 1/4.

An I cup is really shallow right? I’m looking more for something around a 110/K setup atm. Like I said I’ll probably end up trying and buying some of Doug’s stuff when the time is right, but for now I just wanna test that size out.

Yeah the Ernie Tack is like 1.5, just a bit deeper and more of a V

Currently we do not have them stocked in the US. Thomann has taken some of our models in their inventory, but not this one yet.

I will send you a private message with an offer that may make it easier for you to go ahead.

And of course ask any questions about the mouthpiece if you are interested!

I’ve already got an offer for a Schilke Reichenbach so I’ll pass on this for now. Thanks for the offer though-

I think that’s a little smaller than I want to go. I’m looking for just a smidge smaller than a 1 5/16 I had so I think 1 3/8 is the move for now.

I think I’m cool on this for now unless someone has a Warburton 1 1/4 JW. I shouldn’t have sold the one I had, it just really didn’t have the sound for the orchestra playing I was doing at the time.

An older Giardinelli 1G would fall into that size range. Really good mouthpiece
