Cannot prove it is model 6H though my research points to it. Serial says manufactured in 1949. At that time 6H's were made with 7.5 inch Bell which this has.
Can anyone help me?

It could be a custom order horn?
Whats throwing me off is it has a later period counter weight and the bell/slide receivers look a bit later.
There was no model number stamped anywhere?
I'm still interested btw.

I think the 38h, a predecessor to the 48h had 7.5" bell and was made about this time. 48h and 6h are very similar. It's totally believable that a 6h has a smaller bell. I have a 78h bell (currently on my 79h) that is smaller than 8".
It might have come without a counterweight, and these weights are inexpensive. Looks like a 6h to me from a distance and without getting up close with more pix.
