Looking to sell my 1925/26 Conn 18H. This particular example has a star designation under the serial and features TIS with a 7.5” bell. In overall great condition for its age. Slide tubes are original with soldered on stockings. While not the quickest, it is a decent 7/10 when properly lubricated. Has faint gold wash bell still present. TIS mechanism works well although the bottom screw doesn’t want to screw all the way up. Will come with original purple velvet interior case.

Selling for $500 shipped to anywhere in the US. PayPal FF or GS + 3%. Thanks!

Why is scratching on that part of the bell soooo common? I swear every vintage horn i’ve had from around the 20s has those scratches and dents.

Funny story, when I lived in San Francisco, a guy walked up to me during a little street festival and handed me one of these. He then disappeared! Later, I managed to find his info, gave it back, and it led to most of my gigs in SF.

Basically, these are magic.

It's where the slide hits the bell in the case.

It’s often from the slide not being securely latched in the case, which allows it to shift and dent the bell in that location. I’ve also seen people who leave their mouthpiece in the slide for storage, and that’ll dent the bell there as well.

Edit: Burgerbob beat me to it
