Anyone have one laying around? Preferably metal but will take anything.

If you can find one - Denis Wick bass cup mute: Very nice. Metal. Adjustable. Emergency straight mute.

That's exactly what I was planning on. If I couldn't find a used one here I was going to go DW or Jo-Ral new.

DW cup is one of the best, the only one that is better is most likely the Wallace cup
