Since spotify removed everything george roberts except nelson riddles arrangements, im looking for some cds with his playing. I have never bought a cd in my life, so im not sure how much a couple would go for so just send me an email of what you have and price.

New Concepts of Artistry in Rhythm by Stan Kenton has roberts on bass bone. You can hear him pretty clearly. That album has a great bone section in general.

A two disc compilation of "Meet Mr. Roberts" and "Bottoms Up" is available on Amazon or Ebay from $14.99 to 19.99. Also, check out: discogs.com you never know what may be there of old lps for sale or other odd cds that have been released from Japan or Europe. discogs.com also lists 364 credits of groups/bands that he is on, most on lp but dig through it and you may find some that have been released on cd

This album introduced me to both George and Frank Rosolino…I was hooked after that! I don’t think there are any solos by George but his sound certainly is present. And of course Maynard at 16 or some incredibly young age.

Since this is somewhat relevant to this thread, [url=https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1gtue2P5PiXeTDwdDoGE7j?si=c299726d7c0a4e2c]I made a George Roberts Spotify playlist a little while back that contains all the songs I could find with George Roberts on it, based on his Wikipedia article.
However, I know for certain there are a handful of tracks in this playlist that George *isn't* playing on. Back when I made it, I couldn't find all the song credits for every album. For those that I could find individual song credits, I removed the ones that George wasn't playing on.
I'll probably end up taking a free weekend and overhauling this playlist in order to make it more accurate and do some deeper digging to find if there are any other albums not listed on his Wiki article. I may or may not put out a call for help to anyone who happens to know where I can find the song credits for each one. Hope you all enjoy it!
