Strange Moderation Activity

I got 3 notifications of a topic ". . ." but found only 2. In the Moderation Log one of them had been deleted by the poster, KyliecRipe. Has KyliecRipe managed to elevate itself to a Moderator?

I just checked and that does not appear to be the case. I'm pretty sure what's happening is my bot is deleting the post as the user who made it, but I'm not 100% sure. Thanks for noticing that though. Keep your eyes on it and see if you notice anything else weird. I have an outage at work I need to fix at the moment (naturally things break on thanksgiving that have worked for weeks with no downtime) but I"ll check back in and get to the bottom of it late rtoday.

Aha. The first entry is the poster. Post was deleted as spam by Akisnet (I may have spelled that wrong). I think Akisnet is your 'bot. How did the 'bot figure that post was spam when we have a half a dozen identical ones (by different posters) that it missed?

Akismet is a 3rd party phpbb tool that is pretty popular but misses a lot of stuff. There was probably a particular keyword it missed. Mine is a LOT more aggressive but it's only aggressive about things that I tell it to be so in this case, mine is missing sthe Anime one for... some reason... The , , , one is interesting. Mine strips out those characters but I seem to have neglected logic to basically say "if there is no title left after you remove all the garbage, throw it away"
