Recovery from shoulder surgery being a literal and metaphorical pain, I'm in the market for a lighter instrument. I still want the potential for a full chromatic range, so preference goes to traditional wrap with long F tuning slides. I'd be most interested in a Holton 169 (a man can dream!) or early 185. A nice corporation 50b or Elkhart 72H (especially if you also have an appropriate Remington shank mouthpiece for it) could be interesting as well, or happy to hear about other models. Budget depends on horn condition. Let me know if you have anything!

Good luck to you finding a 169. There have been a few that have popped up on BrassArk and HornGuys.
Noah has a 185 on his site, not sure if it’s still up.
Both Holtons are excellent for being light.
What about a 183?

If you have/know of a 183 that would certainly be worth considering.

This is slightly off topic, but I had an early 183 that suited my style perfectly, and that is compared to a 185 and a 169 I also had. I sold the 183 and have no idea where it is now, they can be great players.
