Here in northern New Mexico, we Santa Feans are blessed with a great jazz FM station, 101.5 "The Cat," which just turned me on to this recording of NYC trombonist/ukelelist/arranger J. Walter Hawkes laying down some down-and-dirty plunger work on "Find Me a Primitive Man" with the Pre-War Ponies. Below is a sample on YouTube, but can I highly recommend downloading the entire tune:
