Selling my 3B/F to fund another purchase, now that I have my Gilkes small bore, I’m not really playing the King. It’s a shame, I really like the horn.

The valve, hand slide and tuning slide are from the late ‘70s serial 666xxx. The valve is awesome, quiet smooth and tight, these king valves really hold up. Osmun music serviced the valve last year when they did the bell replacement described below.

I had Osmun replace the original yellow bell that had seen better days with a silversonic bell from the early ‘90s. It has the same engraving as the anniversary bells, but is from one year later I think. Osmun did an amazing job with the swap.

The slide is OK - there is no wear on the stockings - see pics - but it needs an alignment, it’s a little slow between 2nd and 3rd. You can get it moving really good with Yamaha slide lube, but I’m pricing the horn with the knowledge you will probably want to get the slide serviced.

I can ship it with or without the original coffin case which is in excellent shape. Buyers preference.
