Valve trombone cases

Just picked up a valve trombone and it dawned on me the only thing I have to put it in is a protec gig bag, which works because the slide compartment is modular in that case.

Anyone know of or can recommend a case for this thing? It’s a Conn 5G “slide” section if that makes a difference.

Would think this should do it:

The King 3B coffin case was supposed to be able to accommodate both a slide section and a valve section. Might want to see if you can test one out.

You might also want to message DJ -- he might have something, or at least know what fits the 5G valve section.

Like a true gentleman, I don’t anticipate playing it in public, but something new would be nice to store it in so it doesn’t get damaged while I’m not playing it - which will be most of the time - might be nice!

Good thought about the coffin case although if no one is making them as an option, I’ll probably just use the protec case it’s currently in. Actually works pretty well and I can put the horn I was using that case for in something else anyway.

One configuration of it does. It depends on where the mouthpiece goes in the internal compartment. There's plenty of space in the interior for both a slide and a valve section.

Would the valve section fit in an plastic arrow case, as in the “Slide Storage” thread?

Is there a slide and valve section? If you're interested, I have an old (80's?) Yamaha coffin-style case sitting around, it is not the most attractive case but is in good shspe. The bell sits on one side of a divider, the slide goes in the lid with a flap that covers it; like some of the older King cases. That leaves a large storage area for mutes, etc., but a valve section may fit too. I can measure, of course. $25. Over the cost of shipping from 08620 is all I would want for it.

Yup - I make them. And I have a couple in stock that can be had at a steep discount. Royal Blue and Burgundy, I think.

I got a rifle case to store my valve section. It's big enough to store a slide, and a trumpet as well I think. Unfortunately it does not store the bell section. It *might* work if you have a cut bell. But at least it's protected.

Something Like this.

PM sent about the superfine case.

Thanks for the suggestion about the rifle case too.

Will update when I make a decision!
