HI,
Conn 78 Elkhart Bell/88H Slide
I would also be interested in just selling the bell section with the 88H adapter on it and I will keep the slide.
It is nice to hear this horn with a yellow brass bell. It was put together by John Sandhagen. The female connecter was adapted to work with the 88H slide The slide serial # is CA770078 circa 1958.
It is a great playing horn, great slide ( I had a slide job done on it), a Shires leadpipe and a sturdy case in very good shape.
I am culling out some of the too many trombones that I have. I would like $1250 plus shipping for it.
It's a wonderful instrument! I can send pictures if you wish.

Isn't that serial number a post-elkhart number? Elkhart didn't have multiple letter prefixes.
I'm really curious about how that combo plays. The 78h by itself plays small for its size, and 88h stuff too, it could be argued. Could you compare how it plays to something else?

Checking the list conn never used CA prefix, they did use GA starting in 1973 or single letter C in 63/64 unless anyone knows otherwise
