Hey all,
I am selling a Kanstul bass pipe with threads on ebay and have been asked if it will fit an Edwards but I don't know as I was originally planning to change it to press fit.
If it doesn't what type of threads do Edwards use?
Thanks in advance,
Ross

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Shires and Kanstul leadpipe threads (coarse) are compatible, but not with Edwards (fine)

Just a reminder that Instrument Innovations sells leadpipe thread adapters.

Thanks, Andy! Also, Keep in mind that adapters and aftermarket leadpipe receivers will slightly affect the pitch of the instrument by making it roughly a quarter of an inch longer, so if your instrument already plays flat and you're running out of tuning slide, this is something you consider as well.

Thanks for the responses. I'll pass that on and see if I can convince to go for it anyway!

Instrument Innovations also sell threaded collars with both the Edwards "fine" thread, and Shires "coarse" thread. Swapping the collar would alleviate the length issues.
