Slightly dented slide crook.

I am currently using a Bach 42BO and I have a slight dent on my slide crook. When I asked my director about it, apparently it shouldn't affect my tone quality. The dent isn't noticeable from afar but if you look close enough, you can see that the surface is slightly damaged. When I brought it to music and arts, they said it shouldn't affect the playability of the instrument, so I was wondering just how much effect a dented slide crook could have on the overall tone quality.

If itnis difficult to see, it is not going to effect the horn.
