Hi Everyone!
I've got a special horn for sale today. A rather ugly 70's Besson New Standard. <IMGUR id="a/6pjtz8J">https://imgur.com/a/6pjtz8J.</IMGUR>
The specs. 11" bell, compensating valves, worlds ugliest lacquer. Modded large shank receiver. Comes with an old-school RB leather gig bag.
Minor dents throughout, nothing that affects playability, and note the large dent by the 3rd valve tuning slide. I never bothered to have that fixed as I was only using the horn a couple of times a year and it would require a tech disassembling the horn. Seemed like more of a hassle than it was worth.
This is a great little horn! Perfect for a student or the broke pro on a budget. Works in a pinch for those twice a year Euph gigs. For anyone who has had the pleasure or displeasure of playing one of these models knows these New Standards are either completely dogs or pretty great! This one falls into pretty great. The horn is in tune and the valves work well. It's just very ugly.
I'm looking $1400 shipped for the horn. PayPal Friends and Family if possible. Open to any and all offers! Even lowball offers will be considered!
If you're in the Los Angeles area or a starving student or professional please feel free to make an offer! I received this horn from a teacher for a great deal and I would like to see it go to a good home. If I can get cash and don't have to ship it I would be very encouraged to drop the price.
I'd really prefer not to trade and preference goes to $$$ offers.
Email or Facebook (if you know me personally) is the best way to get in touch. I'll try to check in here once or twice a day.
Thanks, everyone!
SOLD Locally. Thanks everyone for the interest!
