I will probably regret this but I have a 1975-80s king 3b concert straight trombone that I’m reluctantly going to sell. This is a near mint trombone with only a few blemishes the slide grips from use.
I’ve owned probably a dozen 3bs through the years and have seen my fair share too. This would have to be hands down the cleanest and easy blowing one I’ve played through my 30 years of bonin’.
I’ve actually been considering putting it in an airtight container and time capsuling it for 20 years. The horn looks like it came out of the factory this year, and looks better than demo models and open box horns I’ve had.
Several reasons I’m selling this beauty is that I prefer a .500 bore and love my 6h, 2) my better half is starting to notice that I may have too many bones, and have too many bills needing paid (she jokes about needing help w my problem and may want to work a 12 step program! Lol)
And 3) this horn is too perfect looking that I’m hesitant to pull it out of its case in fear that something it might get dinged up.
With that said and knowing somebody would love to have this as their main axe, and I know that there’s some real players on here, it’s time to let go and sell.
Like I said the horn is immaculate near perfect condition. The slide is a 10 with our lubrication, and are only a few small ware marks on the grips.
The bell is dent free minus one small pen size dent that is hard to locate sometimes, the lacquer is 99% and is scratch free and awesome.
The tuning slide has a small bump in that has to be pointed out to see. The lacquer on it is perfect and the nickel plating on the main is as well.
It comes w the king coffin case, that is in excellent shape.
I’ll put the 3 best pics I have and can send more if your interested through email. I’m not sure what to ask when it comes to price, make offer shipping will be included
But am open to reasonable offers and/or trade for an Edwards, or another high end/custom trombone. Any questions please email
or
