Hello Fellow Musicians:

I priced this to sell quickly...and it did!

When purchased my antique trombone, I found that its small-shank size “11” Bach Mt. Vernon mouthpiece was rather small for my lip structure. I switched to a larger Bach mouthpiece and placed this one in my mouthpiece collection. Following Bach’s nomenclature, a mouthpiece without a letter typically signifies that it is a “B”, which fits in between the deeper “A” cup and the shallower “C” cup.

This 58+ year old small-shank mouthpiece is in fabulous shape! It was between 1953 and 1964 in Mt. Vernon NY by the original Vincent Bach Corporation. I am asking $75 for the mouthpiece plus shipping.

Full disclosure with pictures: The rim is 100% and the plating only has one abrasion mark under the “11”. The side of the shank show almost no insertion wear. The bottom of the shank (where the metal is thin) has very minor scratches and curling from inserting into the top of the lead pipe. This can be quickly fixed with a mouthpiece reamer.

Rather than continue have it sitting in a back drawer, I am selling it at an attractive price to someone who is looking for a Bach original for their trombone.

If interested, contact me as it will soon be going on Ebay at a higher price (to cover their charges). To ensure that it arrives without damage, I will only ship to the 50 states using a traceable USPS padded, Priority Mail Carton for $9.45.

Thanks for looking!
