For what it is worth, I use my trombone silent brass system with my alto too - mute fits ok. I use the trumpet version in the soprano trombone.

Interesting. I wouldn't expect it to be as effective since sound comes out of the open holes as well as the bell.

The Protec Liberty practice mute for tenor fits my Alto fine
