Holton TR-158 screwbell. In excellent condition. From the 70s. No dents, quick single-bore slide, had been serviced recently. New bumpers on rotor, quiet, smooth action. No plating wear on inners. Mostly unlacquered. Comes with factory slim, black case. No mouthpiece. SOLD.

Is this really a 156? I was under the impression that 156 was a straight horn. A screw bell single bore with F would be 258.

Thank you. It's a TR-158 with screwbell, done at the factory. I was hoping not to make that mistake.

The tr158 with screwbell was usually calked a tr 258. :idk:

I've had a couple of these, and both were stamped "TR-158" even though they were clearly factory screwbells. Just another example of Holton's reputation for being "consistently inconsistent."

Yes, this is the second [stamped] TR-158 I own with a factory screwbell.

Yes, they called them 258s and sold them as 258s; but they usually forgot and stamped them 158.
