TromboneChatters,
Two quick questions:
What is the inner diameter of the valve and tubing on a King 3BF?
Is the valve and tubing on the 3BF the same as the 3B+F, 607F, and 608F, or are they different?
Thanks!

Anybody know if the 3BF valve and attachment is the same as the 3B+F, 607F, and 608F? My guess is that they'd be the same.

The thought occurred to me that I could check the the Conn-Selmer parts catalog online. The 607F/608F uses the same parts in the rotor and F-attachment as the 3BF.
The 3B+F isn't listed in that catalog, but think it would be same to assume that it uses the same valve and attachment parts as well.
Question answered!

EDIT - hadn't refreshed the page, see you already worked it out :good:
Looks like it:

etc
FWIW not all the wrap parts have been identical on all generations - older 3BFs have the ports aligned vertically with 90deg front wrap bend, which later changed to the Duo Gravis-y 45deg port and 135deg bend.

I just got my new-style 3BF back from the shop today, and I have an old-style wrap around: ID of the tubing on both is .530.
Question: what are the usual tolerances on brass tubing? I measured the OD of my tuning slides at .5685 and the ID of the attachment at .570, so guessing that tolerances need to be within .001 for parts to be interchangeable.
