Hey everyone,
I'm after a tuning slide for a project horn based off a Holton TR-185. An earlier TR-185 tuning slide would be ideal (the version with a more "single radius" bend and cross brace), but would consider a tuning slide from a TR-180, Bach 50 or any other bass trombone with those same leg diameters and approximate width.
Thanks!

A Bach 50 might fit. You’d most likely need to remove the crossbrace and manipulate the bend, but I believe it can be done.
I had a 180 that had a Bach tuning slide that made the horn play much better than the stock tuning slide.
Perhaps a Hoelle slide might work?
But $$!

Yes, thanks for that! The bell is set up to be removable, so I can fit the slightly-too-wide tuning slide from my 50B2 by not completely tightening the bell fittings. It should be fairly straight forward to adjust the cross braces of the valve section to fit a new tuning slide. Just need to source one first!
The Hoelle slides are certainly an option, but yes, pricier than a second-hand tuning slide.

Still looking - Holton bass tuning slide, Bach 50 or anything somewhat compatible with either brand would suit! Cheers.
