FS: Shires Q36YA Bass trombone minus bell

For sale is the slide, axial valve section, tuning slide and Magi case for a Shires Q-series bass trombone. If you happen to have a bell lying around, you'd have a killer horn for cheap!
Valve section: independent axial valves. It's an extremely even-playing valve section, and I'd keep it if I didn't already have a custom set. There was some damage by a previous owner, so I had Benn Hannson replace the F-valve knuckles and repair the ports. The action is smooth and the compression is good.
Slide: a single-bore, .562" Q36 slide. Aside from some light scratches on one of the outers, in fantastic condition. I'd give it a 9/10, oiled with Yamasnot. It comes with a #3 leadpipe, and normal Shires pipes will fit it (note: Q bass leadpipes do NOT fit custom Shires bass slides).
Tuning slide: standard yellow-brass Q tuning slide (apparently it's a B taper but I cannot confirm). It has some burnt lacquer by a previous owner's repair, but otherwise is in good shape.
Magi case: in good condition. Has some scuffs on the outside, but the interior is immaculate.
Asking $2900 or best offer. Trades will be considered (I'm looking for a compensating euphonium with short-er valves than a Yamaha 642).
