This is my personal King 2B and it's no closet queen. I bought it secondhand a few years ago from someone who got it dirt cheap from a pawn shop. I had to put some work in it to get functioning but it turned out to be a great player and served me well for the gigs I used it on. All parts have matching serial numbers as well.

The slide is a straight .482". The upper (leadpipe pipe side) inner is the original solder-on stocking and the lower (receiver side) is a replacement drawn tube. Both have some light wear but are in great shape. The slide is a picky players 7.5/10, but with a heavier lubricant like trombontine combined with a spray it's a solid 9/10. The leadpipe looks to have been possibly replaced or removed at some time.

At some time the bell was given a bad scotch-brite bright treatment, but the lacquer is mostly gone has since faded and now the bell is mostly raw brass. The tuning slide and gooseneck has some rippling throughout indicative of dent work.

The horn was just thoroughly cleaned and serviced by my stores shop. A new slide tenon was put on to replace the original that was cracked. This horn would be a great candidate for a full restoration. It also comes with the Gard gig bag.

$750 OBO shipped CONUS only. Payment will be handled via PayPal G&S.

Trade Update: Just got my dream bass bell. I would consider a medium bore tenor with or without an f-attachment in trade.

Are you sure it's a 2B with a single bore slide?
