Looks like I was right... I need to playing stuff a bit smaller. Here's the results of my large mouthpiece safari:

1. Rath B1 1/4W. Used and used well. $70

2. Yamaha 60L. Tarnished, good shape. $50

3. Yamaha Yeo Replica. Tarnished, great shape. Used this for a while, great piece. Sold

4. Griego GP6. Good shape, used this on a few horns. Great piece to gain some efficiency or overtones for a dull setup. Sold

5. Schilke 60D prototype. Gold plated, 1/1 prototype. Larger than a 60 in all ways- feels to me like a 29.3mm rim. Deep! Awesome sound. Sold

5. Greg Black 1GS .312 #2. Almost new, played for a couple months. Much of the sound you get from the big GBs but at less of a energy penalty. With a 1 1/4 rim I would still be using it. Sold

6. Greg Black 1G .312 #2. My main piece for years, not replated. Ugly but no actual problems with it! Sold

7. Greg Black 1G .312 #2. My other main piece for a years, replated by Friedman Plating a few months ago. Sold

8. Laskey 90D. Used this on a recent horn, very similar to the GB 1GS in how it plays and responds. A bit denser, more color. Can be used on vintage horns that are pickier about big pieces. Replated by Friedman Plating as well. Sold

9. Laskey 93D. Exemplifies why the 93D is loved. Owned by a top orchestra player and used in the hall for years. Sold

10. Laskey 95D. Bit of a beater example of the monster piece. Strangely efficient, just too big a rim for me. Sold

Shipped to you in a flat rate box.

Wow, Aidan. You really did "go big!"

Where do you think you'll end up, size-wise? (May take you a few more years to settle in.)

Perhaps Chris Stearn makes some sense?

I used a Bach 1 1/4GM I've had for years, actually, for the last few weeks. It's been great but there's been some advancement in that space in the last 50 years. I just got a Markey 85 that's knocking my socks off.

Nah ! I'm just an old guy stuck in a rut. Just send me all your MV 1 1/2G pieces and I'll keep them away from young folk. :D :D

It's a terrible thing this rut...stops you thinking about equipment and leaves you to focus on music.
