The email address in my profile will get the quickest response.

For your consideration is an early set of Shires dependent-configuration Tru-Bore valves in F/D.

Compression is great and the valves are quick. These Tru-Bore sections blow right in the middle, between the openness of axial valves and the compression/resistance of classic rotors, and have been excellent to play on in both orchestral and big band settings. There is a bit of wear at the neck contact area and cosmetic lacquer wear throughout. A pair of new valve caps have replaced the old cosmetically-worn ones, and the early style Shires thumb brace is included.

Please, check the following photos to get a feel for the condition:

Asking price is $1800 shipped.

I’m also in the market for the following, and would consider trade, plus cash if necessary:

-Getzen 3508Y

-Yamaha YSL-891Z

-Edwards T302

-Getzen 4147IB

FAQ-aka You may have questions, I may have answers...

-Is that price set in stone? Nope.

-Are there other horns you might consider in trade, if offered? Sure. Let me know what you’re thinking.

-Why are you passing these fine valves along? I’ve got a Butler bass I’m in love with, and am working on another project.
