For sale is a Lawler Model 2 trombone, made in 2017, in great condition.
The slide shows no wear and is smooth and fast and in great alignment, ready to play. According to Lawler, the bell on the Model 2 is set back slightly toward the player’s face, allowing the player to have more feedback from the horn, especially in smaller venues.
The horn consists of the following components:
-- Model 2 bell stem
-- .500” twin bore slide
-- Y-5 yellow brass bell flare (.025 thickness), which Lawler describes as “great for all types of commercial playing. Centered, full sound.”
-- R-2 red brass bell flare (.022 thickness), which Lawler describes as “good all around sound with more mid color.”
-- #5 and #15 leadpipes, which are the smallest and largest of the three pipes Lawler offers.
Because the bell flares detach, the horn comes in a case that looks (to my eye, anyway) like it’s smaller than a typical case for an alto sax. Pretty cool!
The horn is in great shape, with only a few very small marks from normal use.

Asking $2100 plus shipping CONUS.

I've been asked about the sizes of the two bell flares. They're a little difficult to measure really accurately, since it involves eyeballing it with a ruler across the middle of the threaded hole, but to my eye the yellow flare looks about 1/8” bigger than the red one, and comes in at about 7 3/4”.
Interestingly, the Lawler web site specifies that the Z-5 and Z-2 flares are 8” but doesn’t give sizes for the others.

Roy used to sell those as an options with his horns. Had to stop offering them as an option at some point a few years ago.

I've been asked whether I'm open to trades for the Lawler horn. It's not my first choice, but I'm open to trades for a Shires Michael Davis ,500, or a comparable B.A.C. horn, or a Mt. Vernon Bach 12LT, all assuming good condition and excellent slide.
