Imagine sending off $3,000 for a “vintage” Rath R2 and getting an alto trombone, or no trombone at all.

I’m not saying this isn’t real… but you first posted the wrong model number (R2)… then you posted a stock picture of an R11 alto… now you’re saying it’s an R1 with an “ooops” in the description. It makes it hard to believe.

Thank you for your concern.

I very quickly made a post from my phone and didn't even realize I had the wrong pictures and description. I owned up to my error and was honest about it. You can clearly see I have included the model number and serial number of the Rath R1 along with the original receipt that was issued to me by Tim Sidwell at the Rath Factory. I played dozens of trombones while I was there, and this one sounded and played the best.

I'm willing to make a video of me shipping the trombone at the post office, with the trombone clearly visible and the user name of the buyer in the video. I will also provide the shipping slip and receipt for tracking. The additional stockpile of information I've provided and am willing to continue to provide should be more than enough to suspend anymore disbelief. I'm always willing to go the extra mile to give the buyer all the reassurance they need to feel comfortable to buy this horn.

Don't miss out. Do your research, this is 100% legit, no more trolling.

This horn will be available until Saturday, April 23rd. If I don't find a buyer, I will sell it to Long and Macquade or the Gramophone in Edmonton, but I would rather personally find it a good home.

Serious seller looking for serious buyer to help me pay for medical costs. Thanks

AndrewL - I have removed all your reports. I find they are incorrect. The posters were responding to your original post with an incorrect listing, which you seem to have corrected. Let's not be vindictive here. You just want to sell the horn.

The seller is from my part of the world - a quick search, and I was able to find his information online. He is an actual person who plays the trombone. As far as posting a wrong picture - I don't even know how to post any picture here! Lighten up everyone. Anyone buying a horn here, use best practices to make sure that the purchase exactly what you expect, and insure it.

Thanks Jim, I appreciate your comment. I remember seeing you at Slide in to Spring a few years ago, what a fun event!
