Hello,

I found a second hand XO 1240 for sale for $2000CAD or ~$1600USD which seems to be a really good deal.

From the ad, it looks to be in mint condition. I plan on checking it out in person soon.

Is there anything I should look out for? I have never owned a bass trombone before, but I've played tenor for quite a while now. I know how to check the condition of the slide, but I have no idea how to check if the triggers/valves are working properly. Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks,

TSD

I would watch some videos about how to grip the bass trombone. That will allow you to check the action of the valves. Does your tenor have an F attachment?

If it's in good shape and you like it, that's a great price for a good horn.
