New To Me Case Care

So I'm set to receive a used Cronkhite cordura double bag from Dillon Music tomorrow (opportunity presented itself), and am curious about preventative measures from getting sick as well as general care. I know many will suggest setting it out in the sun for a few days or so, except I live in the Seattle area where the sun rarely has been shining lately (and apparently won't come out at all next week... Ugh).
For those of you that live in cloudy areas where the sun won't poke through, what did you do upon arrival of a used case or bag? Did you set it outside anyway and keep an eye on the weather? What other care tips do you all have in general?
In any case (pun intended?) I'm excited to not have to carry my tenors separately anymore.

First, COVID only lives on porous surfaces for a maximum of 3 days. Less on hard surfaces. By the time you get the case, any COVID viruses should be dead.
If you are still being paranoid, Trump was right in that bleach kills COVID. It's just not a good idea to try to fight off an infection by ingesting it. Clorox makes a spray that won't be as harmful to fabrics as straight bleach and you can use it to spray down the case.

The “Anywhere” spray, yes? Probably a good idea to be safe. It is made for routine disinfection of soft surfaces. Spray and let dry. It comes in a kind of skinny white bottle.

Jeez. Don't wreck the thing with bleach, or leave the fabric full of chemical residue. (Looking forward to the 'why did my gig bag damage my lacquer' thread in six months...)
If it looks ok and doesn't stink, it's fine. If you want, vacuum it out then go over it with a garment/curtain steamer. Make sure it's totally dry before you shut it up.

Yeah, this is what i figured, just wanted to be sure. Hope it's not a stink bomb.
No bleach will EVER be used here. My instruments are used and have some lacquer wear, and I'd like to preserve what's left (a good amount, actually) with as little maintenance as possible. Thankfully my skin isn't very acidic, so that helps.

If you’re really concerned about it, you could find a room with a window; open the window; prop the gig bag open; using the cold setting, direct a hair dryer at the case; leave it for an hour or so. If it gives you peace of mind, do it. Otherwise, what BurgerBob said.

Yeah, I'm less concerned about me and more cautious for the rest of my band mates; I'm by far (I think) the youngest member. I guess I'm being a little paranoid...

Funny you say that: our lead tenor player also plays flute for a good number of our charts.
Edit: it's here! Inside are the 6H and 168. And no funky odors either, so it's a win win despite minor inconveniences like carrying my stand in the mute bag.
Now where do you put your mouthpieces, Cronkhite owners?

Usually those cases have two accessory bags (one big one small) so I put my mouthpieces into a mouthpiece case and then in the small accessory bag...superfine cases sells replacement accessory bags.
