Here is a Tascam DR-40 field recorder. You can record up to 4 channels (two capsule mics and there are two XLR inputs) of 24 bit, 96khz audio. It provides 48v phantom power to your mics, or you can turn off phantom power if you want to use dynamic mics. By far the best feature is being able to plug in your good mics to record WITHOUT having to lug your interface, laptop, mixer, etc around. Just set up your mics and go. Or, forget the mics, and record your practice with the great on board mics.

These are very high quality, but this is not the newest version of this device -- you can't use it as an audio interface for your laptop/DAW. It has USB, but this seems to only be for transferring files. The new version can do this, and costs $199 - I don't think there is any other difference besides this capability. As such, I'm asking for $50 including shipping to the US.

Just a heads up gang, this item is definitely sold. Still getting emails about it but it's gone.

Also, just got an email from an interested party saying they were getting emails from someone else trying to sell them this same recorder. All I can say is, it might be a coincidence, but I would ask for photos of the item in question. If they are the same photos as the one in this ad, it's a scam -- this item is in the possession of the USPS right now....
