I bought this on a whim thinking I’d learn how to play it, but I never did. I couldn’t find much information about Conn Flugelbones, but I think it might be a Conn 138E? It takes a small shank mouthpiece. Overall it’s in okay condition. 1st valve works well, second is a touch slow and third is very slow. No major dents other than the one on the bottom (pictures). Likely has had previous dent work throughout. Tuning slides pull easily. Spit valves work well; pads are old but functional. Comes with a Bach 6 1/2 AL small shank mouthpiece. No case. Asking $300 plus shipping. Shipping to continental US only.

I didn’t realize Conn made a flugabone. I’d love to see any im engraving on it. This looks very similar to the king 1130.

That's 100% just a King 1130 with Conn slapped on the bell. They did the same thing with the King 1120 mellophone (=Conn 132E), the King 1122 marching French horn (=Conn 134E), and the King 1124 marching baritone (=Conn 136E). It would make sense for the flugabone then to be the 138E.
Mind you, it just being an 1130 is not a bad thing. They are great!

Let me know if you're open to trading: I have a Conn 12h, a Yamaha 648, and various other things that I'd be willing to trade.

These are fun. I have an Olds equivalent, but these are very popular. I use mine mostly for playing around the campfire and keeping my chops up when I travel. They fit well into a suitcase. I've used it at church for solos when I visit my parents.
Love the mallet grade mouthpiece. Extra traction for marching. :good:
